User experience

Good design is key to ensuring that an Internet solution delivers a good user experience. EDB has unique experience in this area, and we use recognized methodology when carrying out the design process. Our objective is to develop Internet solutions that create a good user experience, both for the customer and for the customer's external users.

All systems designed to communicate with people must take into account a number of requirements in respect of the structure of their content, the interaction between the user and the system and the visual impression. We work in a systematic and structured manner to ensure that a solution meets these requirements. This involves:

  • Strategy and specification phase of the design. We identify and define the overall objective and scope of the solution and specify measurable success criteria in order to plan the implementation of the solution and realise the targeted benefits.
  • Information architecture and interaction design. This involves structuring the information content and making both information and functionality readily available to the user. 
  • User testing. We carry out tests to identify users’ behaviour when using the system.
  • Produce graphic design. This involves working with content, functionality and aesthetics.
  • Interface programming
  • Structuring the topic map
  • Optimising existing Internet pages by evaluating how the pages are actually used in practice (tool: Google Analytics).
  • Heuristic evaluation. The objective is to identify usability problems with the user interface design in order that any problem areas can be rectified.
  • Search motor optimisation and digital visibility
