Smart and effective use of IT can help the public sector to carry out its duties more rationally and meet its users' expectations for greater accessibility. EDB works as a partner with a number of public sector entities in their work on realising the benefits that new technology makes possible.
Public sector model
The public sector is working towards ambitious targets. It aims to deliver better and simpler interaction for members of the public, as well as improving the way the public administration carries out its various duties. The aim of this is to free-up resources that can be diverted to important areas of social spending. IT will be the key to achieving these ambitions.
EDB is strongly motivated by the public sector's ambitions, and is fully committed to being an active partner for central and local government and health services in this important work. EDB’s commitment is based on three explicit promises:
Facilitate: We aim to use our extensive experience and expertise from modernisation in other sectors to deliver forward-looking solutions that work well in practice.
Collaborate: We want to collaborate closely to fully understand the needs of both the producers of public sector services and their users.
Invest: The public sector is an important priority for EDB, and we intend to make sizeable investments in developing both current and new solutions.
